I got this for a PS2 on which I noticed some buzzing with movies, and thought it would improve things. Cable works fine, and the build quality isn't bad either. I'd give it 5 stars, but I have nothing to compare it to. It really did, the PS2 sounds MUCH better and no more buzzing. Also, having 5.1 is very nice as well.
i bought this and thought i needed it. still haven't found out what it is for. have looked into a newer home theater unit still can't see where it is needed.
Solid build quality, plugs in to the devices and stays in, the packing is a simple plastic bag, no extra packing. I used Tripp Lite UPS at work and they have been nice and solid, and so I bought 2 audio cables. I am not disappointed by any means.
The cable arrived on time and in perfect condition. I plugged it in from my computer to my tv and everything snapped perfectly. Make sure to take off the tiny plastic cases on the cable or else it won't work or fit in properly.
Great price for this cable--much less expensive than from the big box stores. An optical cable will improve the quality of your audio. It is even apparent to non-audiophiles. Just remember with these cables that you have to remove the protective rubber covering from both ends before plugging it in to your components or the cable will not fit.
